With the widespread controversial conversation centered around NFL Network’s recent rankings of the Top 100 Players of 2012, the GridironGrit.com staff decided to collaborate and come out with its own list.
Founder, CEO Michael Gartman, Marketing Coordinator and Analyst Oren Shiri, Contributor Brian Jones, NFL Insider Barry Barnes and Analyst James Williamson each ranked the Top 100 players of today.
Points are the basis of the polling in these rankings. For example, whichever player places at the top spot in any set of rankings receives 100 points, while the player that places No. 100 gets one point.
For some perspective, the No. 1 overall player received a total of 494 points.
A linebacker with 364 points comes in at No. 25.
The cornerback that comes in at No. 50 received 223 points.
A defensive lineman at No. 75 received 131 points.
And a young pass-rusher that ranks No. 100 has 51 total points.
Just missing the cut with 49 points was Raiders receiver Denarius Moore.
