Clemson is coming off a much needed bye week, but they have a ton of questions to answer as the BCS absolutely trashed them and the rest of the ACC.

The Clemson at Florida State game seemingly never took place as the dazzling must have been thrown in the garbage since the computer rankings magically rank both of them at No. 28.

Are you stinking kidding me?

The explosive offense and shut down defenses aren’t important in the game of football.  The ACC has been atrocious overall, especially in the spotlight. They are still just 2-7 all-time in BCS bowls.

This is just the first weekend of the BCS Standings and we can relax a bit since half the season still has to be played out and the upsets that will continue to drop like dominoes will be entertaining to witness.

Which team is next?

Well, the Hokies hope it is Clemson since they have recently been throttled by the Dabo-led Tigers.

Clemson’s offense is still among the best in America and they are fully capable of putting up 40 points on a Hokies defense that looks like they are finding their way, but overall the struggles are still there.

This team almost had BCS expectations being the favorites to appear in the ACC title out of the Coastal Division. Instead, we have failed to see any playmakers around Logan Thomas and it has cost them dearly.

The Hokies are only No. 54 in scoring offense (30.71) and total offense thanks has ranked just No. 68 averaging a meager 398 yards a game.

That spells trouble on account Clemson may score 40 points in their sleep in this matchup thanks to Sammy Watkins, DeAndre Hopkins and Andre Ellington. Throw in quarterback Tajh Boyd and this offense will not be stopped until they match up with the Gamecocks in the season finale.

Virginia Tech does not have the freaks like Devin Taylor and Jadeveon Clowney that are featured in the SEC, so look for Clemson to pull away late in this one.
