Raiders Clash With The Undefeated Falcons: Are They Ready For The Challenge?

The 1-3 Oakland Raiders step inside the Georgia Dome to take on the undefeated Atlanta Falcons. This may be one of the biggest challenges for coach Dennis Allen and the Raiders face but it comes at the right  time. The team is just coming off their bye week and are in the right place to make it right back AFC West race with a win.

It won’t be an easy task for the Raiders as they battle against this year’s leading NFL passer Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan.

Last week during the Raiders bye the team was handed a gift from each of their division foes in the AFC West. All the teams in their division added a loss to their record drawing the division tighter.

The two teams in front of Oakland in the AFC West division the Broncos and Chargers face each other Monday night. If the Raiders capture a win over Atlanta it could make the division a three way battle.

Statistically the Falcons weakest link is stopping the running game. To win the game the Raiders need to pound the ball on the ground and show their elite speed.

It’s encouraging for the Raiders going into this game knowing they have the speed to take advantage of the Falcons and a running back like Darren McFadden to slow down their defense unlike anyone else Atlanta has confronted with this season.
