Everybody would love to know whether or not Mark Sanchez or Tim Tebow is the better choice?
Yikes, do we really and honestly have to still talk about this franchise as if they are going to make the playoffs?
Sadly, if the offense was half as good as the defense we would see them contend for the postseason. Unfortunately, this offense is still struggling and they will continue to barring a quarterback performs like a Pro Bowler anytime soon.
The schedule is far from easy since NY has some brutal road stretches coming up heading into Thanksgiving night where they very well could be 4-6.
After New England hosts the Jets, Seattle and St. Louis will get up for them, which spells disaster for fans that actually expect a wild card berth.
This running game is putrid and the passing game is not much better these days. Who on earth can get open?
Jeremy Kerley is a respectable slot machine, but having him as your top target spells trouble with an offensive line that is suspect at best. Sanchez will be running for his life in those three games and luckily the Colts do not have the quickest pass rush around.
Dwight Freeney, Robert Mathis and company are solid enough to give them a challenge but this game really comes to the top pick in the NFL Draft.
Andrew Luck is having a sensational season with Reggie Wayne hauling in everything thrown his way.
Wayne has been targeted 60 times and has 36 receptions for 506 yards (only 2 TD but still good numbers).Luck happens to have 7 TD and 1,208 yards, which is 14th best in the league.
His matchup with Antonio Cromartie will be one of the better ones of the entire day, and whoever comes away with some big plays can decide the outcome.
While those numbers are not great, this Colts team is playing with a lot of emotion for their head coach Chuck Pagano (Chuck Strong).
Indianapolis is hanging in the wild card chase albeit this is early October. Still, a second place finish in the AFC South is likely if they can production from their new starting running back Vick Ballard.
Donald Brown underwent knee surgery and is out 2-3 weeks, which means more of the onus may be placed on Luck if the running game remains fairly inept.
Still, the Colts will battle and give these Jets everything they can handle until Sanchez has a flair for the dramatic and pulls off a close victory.
