Many have been asking all week which team in the NFL is the worst and the Kansas City Chiefs may be declared your winners once you realize how horrid they have been outside of their lone victory over New Orleans.

There are three other teams that could argue they are indeed worse (Oakland, New Orleans, Cleveland), but at the moment Kansas City quarterback Matt Cassel is on pace for a record-breaking and setting 40 turnovers!

Holy moly that is beyond abysmal and many are looking for a change of quarterbacks at some point in the near future.

Ricky Stanzi was even worse during the preseason and lord knows Brady Quinn is not the answer either.

These Chiefs can only be as good as their quarterback is and if they get a top-five pick we should bank on them drafting the top quarterback available (Matt Barkley, E.J. Manuel, Geno Smith, Tyler Wilson, Logan Thomas, Tyler Bray to name a few).

A league like the NFL really is all about those signal-callers since this is a quarterback driven league that thrives on pocket passers that can keep the chains moving. Avoiding turnovers is obvious, but the Chiefs cannot help themselves these days.

Even star back Jamaal Charles fumbled it a few times and although he is on the AFC’s top rushers, he needs to hang onto the ball if this team wants to have any chance at avoiding a losing season.

The Chief at the end of the day may go 4-12 or 5-11, but they still play like a decent team at home more times than not. Last weekend against San Diego was a joke (37-20), but that is why Kansas City is among the league’s worst.

I expect a more competitive game against a superior team in Baltimore, but Joe Flacco is gaining confidence week after week with the likes of Ray Rice, Dennis Pitta, Torrey Smith and Anquan Boldin performing well.

Plus, that Ravens defense has forced a few turnovers over before and they will make Matt Cassel look like one of the league’s worst in crunch time (bring in Quinn chants says the Chiefs fan, yikes!).
