Miami (FL) at Kansas State Week 2 College Football Game Preview

With conference rivals Oklahoma, West Virginia, Texas and Oklahoma State each positioned higher in the polls, the Kansas State Wildcats are flying under the radar entering this Week 2 test against the Miami (FL) Hurricanes.

Quarterback Collin Klein put on a show last season, scoring a total of 40 touchdowns with his arm and feet in 2011.  Recognized as one of the toughest players in the game, it helps to have an improved running back in John Hubert, who comes off 12 carries for 152 yards and a score in last week’s win over the Golden Eagles.

However, Miami destroyed Boston College in the second half thanks to a few early defensive touchdowns that paid dividends to an offense that is still searching for a new identity.  The ‘Canes totaled over 200 yards rushing and passing with Stefon Morris as their signal-caller in last week’s season opener.

Look for a back-and-forth ball game with the Canes coming back a bit to relevancy by pulling off the slight upset against a Wildcats — a team that will struggle to match last year’s get-together.  Look for Klein to tote the rock and Miami to load up the box and try to limit the opposing offense by throwing everything but the kitchen sink against Kansas State.
