Chris Johnson has 21 yards on 19 carries for the season and it ranks as arguably the biggest bewilderment’s of the season.
Shocking to say the least, CJ2K was selected as a mid-late first round draft pick regardless of whether or not you are in a PPR league.
Many feel they should Johnson in for a bag of golf balls, but patience is a virtue they say. While I do not foresee great games in the near future, Johnson has to find the end zone this Sunday against the Lions defense.
Many believe Detroit can roll out of bed and hang 40 on the Titans, but Tennessee playing at home should be able to give this NFC North squad a run for their money.
Jake Locker needs to settle down since he is playing at 100 m.p.h. these days and we have seen some ugly throws across the middle of the field that have been picked off.
Locker had some hype coming into the season and he has yet to love up to any of it, but maybe the receivers are a bit overrated.
Kenny Britt is not in game shape and Nate Washington and Kendall Wright have done next to nothing to through two weeks and this entire offense needs to keep their heads held high. Not only are the Titans among the worst teams in football right now, but their defense ranks 25th in yards allowed per game.
Ranking 20th against the pass allowing 248 yards per game is borderline atrocious since Matthew Stafford has been able to sling it around a few times before.
Against the run, they rank 30th allowing 155 yards per game and Detroit may look to get back towards the running department with Kevin Smith.
If Johnson cannot give Tennessee (or if he can’t get any help from the OL) any punch offensively, then it will be tough to see Detroit getting stunned on the road in this one.
Calvin Johnson and Brandon Pettigrew are far too talented to get bottled up, so while the Titans should play their best game of the season it will still not be enough.
