The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced Sunday that they have signed linebacker Nate Triplett.

Originally selected as a fifth-round pick (167th overall) by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2010 NFL Draft, the University of Minnesota graduate spent time on the practice squad of the San Diego Chargers, as well as the Indianapolis Colts‘ active roster last year.

Triplett, 25, has been primarily used on special teams and has played in eight career games, including one game of playoff experience.

Tampa Bay also claimed cornerback Desmond Marrow off waivers from the Houston Texans on Friday.

An undrafted free agent, Marrow played in 41 games (33 starts) in his collegiate career at Toledo, collecting 204 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, six interceptions, 29 passes defensed and two forced fumbles.

In his senior season, Marrow started all 13 games and recorded team-highs in tackles (83) and passes defensed (18) and tied for a team-high in interceptions (3).
