Zach Brown, the second-round selection (52nd overall) of the Tennessee Titans, has agreed to terms on a four-year deal worth $3.858 million, according to Brown’s agent, Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times reports.

Brown will also see a $1.246 million signing bonus and his second-year guaranteed salary is $565,377.

“This is one of the most gifted athletes in the draft,” Mike Mayock said during NFL Network’s coverage of the 2012 NFL Draft.  ”He’s the fastest linebacker, he flies all over. That’s the good news. The bad news is that he’s allergic to contact.  He’s a great Will linebacker to rush the passer, but he struggles at the point of attack.”

The 6-1, 244-pound linebacker has already stated that he has a “chip on his shoulder” to prove that he’s not soft.

With the likes of linebackers Gerald McRath, Will Witherspoon, Akeem Ayers, Colin McCarthy and Kamerion Wimbley all in the mix, Brown will have a difficult battle winning a starting job at outside linebacker in time for the season opener on September 9 against the New England Patriots.

Nevertheless, the team is loaded with depth at the position and Brown should at least see plenty of playing time throughout his rookie campaign.
